Jon and Kelsy are a fun, young couple who were blessed with a transracial adoption four years ago when they became parents to their daughter. They'd like to expand their family and diversity once again. They look at life as an adventure, and try to learn something new and do something fun every single day. Jon and Kelsy believe laughter is the best medicine, and that God has a plan for everyone, and can't wait to see how their lives play out!
They love animals, going on hikes and cooking together. Both grew up in Christian families and have siblings who have become their best friends. They share, "we want nothing more than to grow our family, and give our kids the chance of creating that sibling bond that we cherish so much!"
Jon works as a high school science teacher, and Kelsy's an English teacher at an alternative high school. Their house in Iowa has four bedrooms. There's an elementary and middle school within two blocks of their house, and the elementary school’s playground is directly behind their house. Also nearby is the town swimming pool and a nature preserve. Their deck leads out into a football-sized field where they have fun playing soccer, running around in the summer, and building snowmen in the winter.
They are open to communication via letters, pictures, email, text, and possibly visits. You can click on the "play" button below to watch their video:
