What happens when you take a pregnancy test, and that line appears? When you have an unplanned pregnancy, but don’t want to have a baby yet, this can make your life more complicated than imagined.
An unplanned pregnancy can be depressing, scary, sad, or thrilling. When you see that positive pregnancy test, your emotions might seem like they're changing from minute to minute. This is totally normal!
When you take a few moments to let your news sink in and really think about it, you'll realize that life as you know it will change. No matter what happens next, this has happened.
Maybe your story is like Haley’s*. She wrote this in her journal the day she discovered she was pregnant:
"I took test after test, and they all came back positive. I just got back in a relationship with my baby's dad. How could I be so stupid to let this happen?! I had an appointment set for next week to get on birth control. I feel like my life is over now. There's no way I can go to college with a baby! My mom suggested adoption, but I don't know if I could do that..."
