Adoptive Couples – How Can I Be Sure They’re Good People?

Posted by Lifetime Adoption on February 8, 2014

Question: I have been considering making an adoption plan for most of my pregnancy. I’m due in two months and I’ve seen adoption profiles from a few adoptive couples that seem like great people. But, how can I know for sure?

Answer: Lifetime screens every adoptive family that’s with us. We ensure that they meet the criteria needed to adopt. A licensed social worker performs an in-depth home study evaluation and visit the adoptive family’s home. This evaluation includes a background check, medical evaluations, financial screening, and FBI screening.

In this way, you can be certain that your baby will be raised within a loving and safe family environment. Lifetime Adoption is choosy with which adoptive parents are accepted into our program. Our experienced adoption coordinators review adoptive families thoroughly before accepting them. Also, you can interview adoptive families before you decide on one. This will help you decide which couple is best suited to adopt and raise your child.
