Your Adoption is All in His Timing

-Psalm 127:3.

Get tips on how you and your spouse can pray for each other while you wait for a birth mother to choose you!

Having Christian fellowship during your adoption wait is important. Surround yourselves with positivity and with people who can empathize with what you're feeling.

This means choosing your friends wisely; think about who will help lift you up, even if they don't understand what you're going through.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
-Joshua 24:15

Right now, it's necessary to be around those who will pray for you. You might find support through a prayer partner, your small group at church, or even in an online adoption support group.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
-Matthew 18:20.

Know this: God wants you to succeed in adoption. He has a plan for your life and your family. This fact must be fixed in your mind and your heart when you're struggling with your adoption wait. Seek Him out in prayer with all the longings of your heart. And remember to pray for others experiencing the same issues.

"The most powerful and influential act you can ever perform on behalf of others is to
take their name to the throne of God in prayer."

-Charles Stanley, senior pastor of First Baptist Church

When you're frustrated during your adoption, bring your frustrations to the Lord and pray about them. Thousands of hopeful adoptive parents have been in the same place you're in right now. Many have felt the same way you do, and asked questions like "Will we ever be parents?" and "What's wrong with us that causes a birth mom to choose someone else?"

Avoid focusing on the negative, but instead, pray and focus on what God wants for you. Search for His will for your life. By doing this, you'll gain peace in where you're going. This is my prayer for you.
