Recently on Lifetime Adoption’s Facebook page, we asked past adoptive families “What advice could you give a current adoptive parent who is waiting to adopt through this Christmas season? What encouraged you most when you longed to celebrate Christmas as new parents?” Here’s what people had to say:

“Be patient. Put your trust in God and give it completely to Him. When we finally handed everything over, He provided a baby for our family. Know that there is a baby out there, but you can only receive that blessing in His time.”

-Laura

“I remember wanting God to bless us in time to take our son South to see our family for Christmas. However, I had to remember that it's in His time not ours. So I say stay encouraged! Live life to the fullest and be ready when your blessing comes.”

-Toni

“We waited through Christmas for our beautiful little girl trust God he will choose the perfect time. I know God has a plan for each of us and we can't always see what that is we need to have faith.”

-Michelle
