This year, National Adoption Day is recognized on November 19, 2016. National Adoption Day is a unified national effort to increase awareness of children waiting to find their forever families. It's sponsored by a host of partners: Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, The Alliance for Children’s Rights and Children’s Action Network. Let's recognize and celebrate adoption today with these heartwarming adoption stories:

About adoption, he says, "I'm the guy who was not cool with adoption from the get-go. I can only attribute to God for changing my heart and once I finally came around and said adoption was something I'd be willing to look into, every domino fell into place.
I would rate adoption as 10 out of 10. It's been the most rewarding and incredible thing I've ever done in my life!"
Adoptive mother Julia shares, "Adoption is a double miracle because not only was that particular baby born, but that baby's birth family chose one adoptive family out of all the agencies and families out there. It takes one miracle after another to make the perfect match happen.
For that I know we are doubly blessed, despite the heartache of waiting."
