It’s National Adoption Month: Lifetime Families Share their Stories

Posted by Lifetime Adoption on November 11, 2016

Back in 1984, President Reagan declared the first national adoption week. And in 1995, President Clinton increased the week to the entire month of November. Join us today in recognizing National Adoption Month by reading these Lifetime adoptive familys' stories!

Your adoption story will be as one-of-a-kind as it was for these Lifetime families. However, you already share one thing in common-you each started where you are today, with a decision about the next step toward your family's future. What's a Lifetime Adoption like? Hear it from other Lifetime adoptive families:

She loves playing and cuddling with her big brother and chasing him around. She is pure joy and we love watching her explore and learn new things. Her birth mother is often in our thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful for her!"

Jared's 6 months old today and his adoption was finalized! As I sat in the courtroom listening to the judge my mind kept coming back to Lifetime and how we were so blessed to find you! Thank you for your prayers, ad vice, strength...and most of all for our family!
Love always,
Shay and Kerri"

And our daughter, Ahava Grace, was born on Tachaundra's birthday. How awesome is that! She is the sweetest. We love her so much. Her birth mother will always hold a special place our hearts."

So many tiny amazing details in our story and its all glory to God. I know without a doubt God brought us to Lifetime. I felt a pull to Lifetime that no one understood. We had many local Christian agencies near us but what I loved about Lifetime was they put the birth families first. I love all of the staff's hearts and willingness to be God's hands and feet by bringing families together and letting love cover it all.
Much love,
Becca & Kalani"

She loves bathtime and having us read to her. We recently had a homecoming shower and the love and support from our friends and family was amazing. We are eternally grateful to Lifetime and her birth mother for blessing our lives so abundantly."

We are so happy to announce that our once four pound seven ounce baby is now not only crawling and teething, but legally became a part of our family this summer! We are so thankful for Lifetime Adoption's assistance, guidance, stories, faith , and wisdom they share with both adoptive families and birth mothers. Our love for Kayda's birth mother cannot be matched with words and these women deserve the utmost respect that Lifetime offers. We will forever be a Lifetime family!
With Love,
Kyle and Taya"

We know that God worked out every detail of this adoption from start to finish. We feel honored to be chosen by the Lord and Gabriel's birth mother to parent our son.

The waiting was a challenge, but it prepared us to never take a moment of this experience called parenthood for granted. He's growing so fast, and it's hard to believe that 6 months ago we had no idea how drastically our life would soon change for the better.

We appreciate all that Lifetime did to support us in our time of waiting, and also for introducing us to the amazing young woman who changed ourworld forever by choosing us to parent Gabriel. Thank you!"
