Every Monday, Mardie Caldwell, COAP, the founder and CEO of Lifetime Adoption answers a question, shares her thoughts, or posts a video.

Q: We feel called to adopt but cannot discern the best path for our family. We've read your book Called to Adoption and prayed but still are unsure. What advice do you have for families who are stuck in the decision process?

A: Thank you for searching your hearts and reading my book as you look for God’s guidance and blessing over your adoption plan. I have learned that families with strong faith often have an easier time in the adoption journey because they are including God in their plans.

I would encourage you to speak with other families who have gone before you on the various paths you are considering, such as domestic independent, foster, or agency adoption, or international adoption from the specific countries you are considering. While you learn, keep in mind that every adoption is different and you are not picking a journey, you are picking a path. Your adoption will be your own unique story.

One great opportunity is through online webinars, like the one tomorrow night! Adoptive parents Ryan and Brandi have adopted both through a domestic Lifetime adoption and then an international adoption. On Tuesday, March 12th they will share their story with others thinking about adopting a baby or child! Sign up at: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/380776358
