Missed Call

Dear Lifetime,

We have caller ID on our phone. Lately, our home had been inundated with sales calls, at all hours of the day and night. It is driving us crazy.

Unfortunately, we have missed a few urgent phone calls from our adoption coordinator, because we have not picked up the phone. Do your numbers register as R&R, BLOCKED, or as some other thing? We don’t want to miss another important call, but we want to filter out some of these annoying telemarketer solicitations. Can you help us?

Dear Langford family,

We are so sorry you missed out on a great opportunity! Our number shows up as BLOCKED on the phone ID. We do this to protect mostly birth mothers, but to also assure the privacy of our contracted families.

It is important to us, that a visitor to your home does not see our Lifetime Adoption name on your phone’s ID. If you do not want to share information, then you are not put in an awkward position. Our birth moms are often in precarious family and living situations. We do not want to put them at risk; nor do we want to betray their privacy.
