Committing Your Adoption to the Lord

Have you committed your adoption plans to the Lord?

No matter if you are beginning the process or in the waiting phase….  Or maybe you are struggling with a newborn but on pins and needles because your adoption is at legal risk.  It’s never too late to commit your plans to the Lord.

This verse contains a little different spin to the regular routine.  Often, we make a plan, determine how to get there, and then ask the Lord to bless it.  However what scripture says is contrary to this.  It very clearly says that we can plan our course, or what our goal is, but the Lord will determine our steps.

What a blessing to know that if we commit to the Lord what we want to do, He will provide the way and means to do it.

So if you haven’t committed your adoption to the Lord, do it today, no matter the phase you are in…

If you are researching adoption agencies or adoption facilitators to help you adopt a baby, ask that he guide you to right organization for you and give you discernment as you do your due diligence.

If you are doing paperwork or in the waiting phase, ask for guidance to your next steps, encouragement to get there, and patience for God’s plan to unfold for your family.

If you are matched or waiting for the legal process to unfold, ask God to bless and comfort your child’s birthparents, ask for wisdom, and for patience with the process.

There is always time to be thankful for our many blessings and to invite God through the Holy Spirit to be an active member of our adoption plans.
