Lots of hopeful adoptive couples wonder "is adopting twins possible?" The short answer is “yes”! Lifetime adoptive couple Doug and Katherine from Alabama just adopted newborn twins!
We're excited to share more about their journey to adopting newborn boy/girl twins! Please pray for all involved in this precious adoption story, especially the twins' birth mother for her brave and loving choice.
If you’re in the midst of your adoption wait, hearing stories like Doug and Katherine's will provide you with inspiration and hope!
The happy new parents Doug and Katherine share:
We're still just in shock and awe every day that these beautiful angels are ours. We are exhausted but don't care!
We just cannot thank Lifetime enough for all of your support these past few weeks, it means so much!"
Congratulations to Doug and Katherine on their beautiful family built by adoption and love! Blessings and prayers to all involved in this magical journey! (Pictured to the right is Doug with their son, Andrew, and Katherine with their daughter, Grace.)
As Doug and Katherine’s story demonstrates, twin adoptions happen from time to time here at Lifetime. However, if you're open to adopting twins only, it will significantly increase your wait time. That's because Lifetime has just two to three newborn twin adoptions total in our more than 100 adoptions, on average, per year. You can learn more about the average wait time to adopt twins in our blog post, "What is the Wait Time to Adopt Twins?"
