Free Adoption Counseling As You Consider Your Choices

Posted by Lifetime Adoption on December 13, 2016

counseling.jpgWhen you’re thinking about adoption, you may want to talk to someone. It will help you to decide on what you want for you and your baby. Lifetime can connect you with a licensed counselor or you can also talk to a birth mom who has placed her baby for adoption and gone through the journey herself.

It’s important to take advantage of Lifetime’s offer of free open adoption counseling, since you’re making such a major life decision. A counselor will help you deal with grief, stress, and any other emotions that pop up as you think about adoption for your baby.

A licensed adoption counselor and birth mother counselor are available for you to speak with both before and after your baby’s birth.  Having this resource available makes it so that you’re fully confident with the decision of adoption for your baby. A birth mother counselor, also known as a peer counselor, is a woman who has been where you are now and made an adoption plan for her child.

The peer counselor can help you work through your emotions and provide you with resources. Many women who have contacted us say that speaking with someone who had gone down the same path really helped them.

Here’s a quick video that talks about the free adoption counseling Lifetime can connect you with:
