Adoption Stories Then and Now - Brent and Carrie

Posted by Heidi Keefer on Jan 5, 2017 7:27:00 AM

Today's episode in Lifetime's blog series Then and Now", shares Missouri adoptive parents, Brent and Carrie's adoption story. Read about how they were blessed to adopt a baby girl!

Once they joined up with Lifetime for their adoption, they shared how excited they were to experience the joys of adoption and the blessings that only come from growing a family through infant adoption.

They said, "After having our four biological children we thought we were done growing our family.  However, God had other plans for us. Within the past few years we've discovered we aren't quite done and have plenty of room in our hearts for more children.  After consulting with doctors we discovered that we are not able to have more biological children.  We have many friends who have adopted so it has been a part of our lives for a long time.  We decided to pursue adoption and we believe that we can provide the unconditional love and acceptance every child deserves!"

Adoption Stories Then and Now - Ross and Carol

Posted by Heidi Keefer on Dec 15, 2016 10:14:02 AM

Today, Lifetime Adoption is sharing yet another adoptive couple's story today in our blog series “Then and Now.” Our Lifetime adoptive family today is Ross and Carol from Nebraska.

As they started their adoption journey with Lifetime, they shared that they both came from large families and had always dreamt of filling their home with children. "Adoption is something that has been on our hearts for most of our lives, long before we ever knew each other. We have been struggling with infertility, and have decided lately that perhaps we should start investing our resources in adoption, rather than pursuing additional infertility treatments. After looking at some of your beautiful couples hoping to adopt on Lifetime's site, we thought 'we could do this!' While out on a walk that evening, I was praying about it, and all of the uncertainties kept popping up. A common fear was 'what if no one wants their child to grow up on a farm in the middle of Nebraska?!' I just kept praying, 'Father, I just need some direction here.' Long story short, later that evening, I was on your site again and saw one of the birth mother's descriptions, something about a Catholic couple who lives in a country setting. Needless to say, we felt like God was giving us a nudge!"
