We're blessed to be sharing another adoptive couple's heartwarming adoption story in our blog series "Then and Now." Our Lifetime adoptive family today is Zachary and Kearsten from Virginia.
As they started their adoption journey with Lifetime, they shared, "Adoption was always in our family plan. We're thrilled to become first-time parents through adoption!"
Keep reading for a glimpse into Zachary and Kearsten's journey of adopting their baby boy, Maverick!
In their adoption profile, Zachary and Kearsten wrote, "We are elated at the opportunity to bring your child into our family where good times are plentiful and love is unlimited. While we have had many highlights throughout our relationship, adopting a child has always been a calling within our hearts. Learning of our infertility issues further convinced us that adoption is the perfect means to bring home our first child and complete our family.
After 13 years of friendship, we’ve spent the last four years as a married couple who likes to road-trip to fitness races, get outside to garden, cruise the Caribbean, hang out with exotic animals, build our own furniture, and listen to vinyl records.
During the week, you can usually find us hanging out with our two dogs Artoo and Misha at the bark park in our neighborhood. We also love to host and entertain people at our house or just have a quiet night by ourselves cooking and binging the latest Netflix show."
Through Lifetime, Zachary and Kearsten joyfully welcomed a baby boy, Maverick, into their home just last month!
The happy new parents Zachary and Kearsten visited Lifetime's Florida office with their little bundle of joy in tow. They visited with Lifetime’s adoption professionals Linda, Chrissy, Tiffany, and Natalie. Visiting at the exact same time was another adoptive mom, Amanda, and her seven-week-old daughter, Mariella.
"Our time with [Maverick's] birth mom at the hospital turned out very well and we couldn’t be happier! We experienced a fall-through before Maverick's adoption. We'd happily do this all again the same way because it made us stronger and more appreciative. Maverick was well worth it!" Zachary and Kearsten shared.
